****** Skater Support ******

Welcome to Skater Support, the first online
guide for people who want to help support up-and-coming skaters!
|
| Purpose: All skating
fans have, from time to time, heard stories about skaters riding their
bicycles miles to and from the rink, skating in old broken down skates,
and even being forced to leave the sport due to the great financial burden.
Here is our chance to help. While the most famous certainly make money,
the up-and-comers often rely on donations and sponsorships. Skater Support
is proud to be the first resource which coordinates the various training
funds so that fans and supporters can easily know where to send their money. |
| To give you
a better idea of how expensive this sport really is, I asked some of the
skaters listed on this site to tell me how much money they have to spend
each year. Here are their responses (answers are averaged): |

-

-

-

-

-

-
Off ice training (ballet, gymnastics,
etc.) = $5,500
-

= $5,000
