The Realize the Dream Foundation is a non-profit organization which provides financial assistance, notably by the granting of student bursaries or scholarships to Canadian athletes who are recognized as among the best in the world or with the potential to reach this level. The San Diego Figure Skating Club established the Founders Fund in 1981 to raise funds to distribute to club members by means of grants for skating related activities. Grants are given every year to those skaters who qualify and compete at the Sectional or National level (both single skaters and precision team members). Donations are tax deductible.

Secret Anti-perspirant, who is dedicated to building self-esteem in young women through its Secret to Self-Esteem program, and the Women's Sports Foundation, have joined forces to search for the first-ever Secret Sportsgirl of the Year, presented by the Women's Sports Foundation. The award will honor female athletes who embody self-esteem and serve as role models for other teens. Nominees must be female residents of the 50 United States or District of Columbia, 11-18 years of age at time of nomination, who participate in an athletic/sports endeavor and are enrolled in a secondary school, home school or any other state-recognized learning institution at time of nomination.

The Skaters' Fund is the only charitable orginization for coaches and performing ice skaters who have suffered hardships due to sickness, accident, or old age. The Fund is a 501 c 3 organization. Contributions to the Fund are always welcome.

The Tampa Bay Skating Club administers this fund to benefit their skaters. Monies are given out at the discrection of the Board of Directors to the skaters they feel are in the most need. Donations therefore can not be earmarked for a specific skater but they are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to the Tampa Bay Skating Club and the memo section should read "Skaters Sponsorship Fund."

The Tara Lipinski Skating Scholarship awards training scholarships to figure skaters in the Greater Houston area. Each year a Selection Committee reviews applications and videos and judges applicants based upon dedication to training, promise, financial need, and sportsmanship. Any skater who has passed either the USFSA Pre-Juvenile Test or ISI Freestyle VI Test may apply. Donations are tax deductible.

This fund, set up in memory of the 1961 plane crash which killed the U.S. figure skating team, is run through the USFSA. When donating to this fund, you can either make a general contribution to be distributed at the discretion of the Memorial Fund Committee or you can designate a specific figure skating club to receive your donation. Ninety percent of the money designated for a specific club will go to that club; the fund retains the other 10% to aid in administrative costs and general initiatives such as clinics, scholarships, etc. Donations are tax deductible.

The Washington Figure Skating Educationand Development Fund supports skaters in the Washington DC metropolitan area. This fund supports a variety of general initiatives such as competitions, exhibitions, discussion groups, and training schools as well as funding individual skaters, coaches, and officials. In addition, this fund provides academic scholorships. Donations are tax deductible and can be ear-marked for a specific skater or purpose.

Where The Dream Continues Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 to provide access to the sport of ice skating to youth from diverse cultural or economic backgrounds.  The program is designed to help cover the costs of professional coaching, equipment, ballet and creative dance movement, mental edge, theatre, nutrition and strength conditioning.  Applicants must be an eligible skater and current member of U.S. Figure Skating, demonstrate a financial need, be dedicated to training as a competitive skater, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA (based on a 4.0 scale) during the last two years, and be reccommended by a professional at the skater's home club.

The William E. Simon Olympic Endowment for the Support of Athletes was established in 1998 by
Mr. William Simon, former U.S. Olympic Committee president and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, to
provide financial assistance in the form of grants to needy athletes for training and competition.  In order to be eligibile, skaters must be US citizens, currently training and competing, and in financial need.  An application can be found on the USFS website.

The Travel and Training Fund was established to provide direct financial assistance to aspiring athletes with successful competitive records who have the potential to achieve even higher performance levels and rankings.
