At 20 years old, Karyn has only been skating for 2 years, and yet has passed her Intermediate moves in the field test as well as her Intermediate freestyle. Despite the fact that she can only afford 30 minutes of coaching a week, she has all her double jumps up through and including the double axel. In addition, out of the 8 USFSA events she has competed in, she placed 1st or 2nd each time. Karyn is a full time college student and therefor must balance, skating, school and work (in order to pay for skating). Karyn is looking for financial assistance, so that she can devote more time to skating. As for her future goals, Karyn plans to continue to work hard at  skating, and share her love for the sport with others.

Sierra is 11 years old and has only been skating since the age of 8. She is currently a Preliminary level skater.  She's competed in twelve competitions so far and she's always placed in the top 5 (including 3 Gold Medals).  
She enjoys the sport immensely and has dreamed of being a champion ice skater since the age of 4 after watching ice skating for the first time on TV. Because of this dream, she realizes that she needs a few more lessons a week then what she is currently able to take due to finances. She is coached by Barbara Wagner and is a member of the Atlanta Figure Skating Club.  Sierra is currently in seventh grade and has done an excellent job at balancing skating, school and church life as she is a straight "A" student and a member of her school's Honor Club program. Sierra is looking for financial assistance, so that she can devote more time to skating in pursuit of her championship dreams.

Lindsay Burdan is an energetic and caring 13 year old figure skater who resides in Dublin, OH, just outside of Columbus. She has aspirations of becoming a National level skater and eventually a coach.  She is currently skating at the Intermediate level and is planning on competing at the Intermediate level at Regionals this year.   Lindsay is now working on her Novice Moves in the Field.  Having mastered all of her double jumps, Lindsay is working hard at making her double axel more consistent.  Lindsay skates 5 days per week both before and after school, rising most days before 5 AM to make the 30 minute ride to the rink.  She participates in 3 off-ice conditioning classes a week, ballet and power yoga.  She is coached by two excellent and talented coaches Svetlana Khodorkovsky and Tatiana Rachkova, both from Russia. This season, Lindsay took the Gold medal in Open Juvenile short and long programs at Skate Detroit and is currently training hard for the EGL Regional Championship.  Off the ice, Lindsay is an Honor Roll student who loves to read, shop and ride roller coasters.  Her parents have already downsized their home in order to cover the huge expenses involved in this wonderful sport. Lindsay is in need of financial assistance to continue her journey to her goals of becoming a national level competitor.

Brittany Chase is a 13 year old who has been skating since she was four. She is currently an Intermediate level skater and is working on her Junior moves in the field. As an athlete and student, she aspires

become a champion that we can be proud of. Her long term goals are to compete at the U.S. Nationals and qualify for the Olympics. Eight year old Kaeley has been taking ice skating lessons for 5 years and competing for two and a half years.   She is currently at the Pre-preliminary level, and she's already won Gold at both the Keystone Skate Games and the Philadelphia Areas Figure Skating Championships.  She trains at the Body Zone Sports and Fitness Complex located in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.

Melissa Lynn Cheatwood, aka "The Ice Princess" has been skating for 6 years.  Melissa was born 3 months premature and the doctors gave her parents very little hope for survival. But Melissa had that fighting spirit and has flourished ever since. She has moderate mental retardation but according to her coaches has far surpassed their original expectations and want her to be the very best skater she can be as she has that fighting spirit on the ice and pushes herself.  Melissa ice skates in Special Olympics Texas and her goal is to be invited to skate and compete at Special Olympics World Winter Games in 2009. Helping her to achieve her goals are  4 dedicated coaches. She has a jumps/spins coach, a dance coach, a compulsory coach and her freestyle/chroegrapher.  Melissa skates 2 hours a day 5 days a week and in addition she takes ballet classes, does Pilates, strength training and works on balance. She has received over 30 gold medals and 5 trophies for her skating in Va., Pa., Md., Fla, Tx. and won a gold medal in an "Invitation Only" competition in Vancouver, British, Columbia. Her hard work has not gone unrecognized as she has been in the media in print and T.V. over 25 times between Virginia, Florida and Texas. She has been selected as "athlete of the month" twice for Special Olympics once in Va. and once in Tx. Melissa has mastered some very difficult moves for any ice skater.  She can do combination jumps as well as change foot spin, sit spin, speed eagle and is now working on a split jump.  Melissa will be testing in USFS  her first 5 dances in May of 2006.  All donations are greatly needed and very much appreciated since Melissa gets no sponsorship from her ice rink, city or any other agency. Brianna Checkley is an 11 year old American figure skater who currently resides in Spangdahlem, Germany with her United States Air Force Family.  Since 2003, she has competed in competitions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, winning 4 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals.   At the moment, she has all of her doubles except for the lutz and the axel, both of which she is working on.   Brianna does a lot of off ice training such as pilates and ballet.  She is coached by the mother/daughter team of Anne Marie and Michaela Arnold.  Off the ice, Brianna is a “straight-A” sixth grader who loves to read, draw, dance, ride her bike, and sew.  She has earned several “student of the quarter” awards, the President's Award for Educational Excellence, the National Physical Fitness Award, and the Presidential Champions Bronze Award for fitness. Morgan has been described by elite coaches at camps as a gifted and talented skater and a top student.  She is 14 yrs old and an Intermediate skater.  Morgan has been skating for 4 years consistently.  She and her family are dedicated to her training.   Soon, she will begin commuting from Des Moines, Iowa, to Cedar Rapids five days a week.  Mornings will start at 3:30 so she can fit in training and school.   At Skate St. Paul in July, 2005, she placed 3rd in pre-juv jumps and 4th in spins.  She is coached by Tanya Street-Burgess, Amy Blades, and Carlos Vic Walker.   Morgan is looking for financial assistance to provide more ice time, begin an off-ice conditioning training, assistance with traveling expenses and  choreography.   Morgan ultimate goal is the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.   Morgan has a huge potential to become an elite skater that everyone strives to be in this sport.

Fourteen year old Katie Cushing  has been skating for nearly a decade.  She currently competes as an Intermediate.  Katie currently trains at the Northbrook Ice Center with coaches Carol Kaufmann and Dana Hult.  Katie needs help paying for her training as she skates five to six days a week, takes ballet once a week, and  does off ice conditioning two days a week.

Twelve year old Marissa Delmatto has been skating for five years.  She skates before and after school, 5-6 days a week, with coaches Svetlana Khodorkovsky and Tatiana Rachkova.  She also takes ballet and off ice conditioning classes.  Marissa's 2006 competitive season started at The Tri-States Competition where she placed first in Pre-Juvenile Freeskate and second in Pre-Juvenile Spins, followed by Ann Arbor where she recieved a Gold Medal for placing first in Pre-Juvenile Freeskate.  She has since moved up to Juvenile.  She is currently working on getting all of her double jumps clean.  Marissa loves to compete and she is in need of sponsorship to help make her dreams come true.

Sierra is 12 years old and has been skating for four years. She is currently a Preliminary level skater but before testing in the USFSA system, she competed in 20 ISI competitions, where she won 28 Gold Medals. Sierra skates 5 days a week, including one private lesson with her coach, Andrei Berekhovski. She also takes additional off-ice classes.  Her skating costs over $500.00 a month, not including competitions, skates, or skating outfits. Skating is very important to Sierra. She plans to go as far as she can in the sport, and become a coach (including going to college for related sports/dance training), so she can help other skaters reach their goals. She is a member of the Citrus Figure skating club, a Cadette Girl Scout, is homeschooled above grade level, and serves on the Teen Advisory Board at the Pasco County Library. She loves animals and has taken in several pets. Sierra has helped out the younger children at group lessons and holiday camps at her rink. She has skated in several exhibitions, and has performed for two visiting groups. She is very dedicated to skating and wants to go to the Olympics. Twelve year old Shaylin Donnelly started skating three years ago and began competing one year ago.  She has done very well at the competitions that she has been in, winning first place in her very first competition and never placing lower than fifth.  Shaylin recently passed her JuvenileFreestyle and Intermediate moves tests. Anna Drozdova was born in the Ukraine, where she started ice skating at the age of  three and a half, upon the advice of a doctor.  After moving to the U.S., she restarted her  lessons, at the age of eleven.   Last year, she was the Southwest Regional Open Juvenile Champion.  She has since moved up to  Intermediate and her goal is to make it to Junior Nationals next season.  Anna is coached by Anna Solovyova and her choreography is done by Oksana Grishuk.

Stephanie Duncan, age 10, is a Pre-Juvenile level skater.  Recent competitive highlights include winning two Golds at the 2006 Atlanta Open and one Gold at the 2006 Skate Nashville.   Stephanie's long term goal is to compete at the 2014 Olympics and she trains 5 days a week at the Huntsville Skating School and Training Academy in order to make that dream come true.  She is coached by Jim Bowser and Editha Dotson- Bowser.  Off the ice, Stephanie is an honor roll 5th grade student.

Coral Lee Anne Flaherty, age 11, has only been skating competitively for 2 years. She is currently at Pre-Juvenile level, but will testing up to Juvenile later this year.  In 2005, Coral placed 3rd at the Top of the World Competition and 1st at the Alaska Skate Competition.  In 2006, she placed 2nd at both the Top of the World Competition and the Alaska Skate Competition.  She has also traveled to California and Washington State to compete.  Coral's dream is to compete nationally and internationally but in order to make that dream come true, she needs more practice time, both on and off the ice.  She is looking for sponsorship to help cover her training costs as well as the costs associated with traveling for competitions.

Jessica is a 13 year old skater who is competing at the Intermediate level this year.  She trains on ice 6 days a week, and takes ballet and strength classes to enhance her skating.  She also takes ice dance lessons to help with presentation and edgework.  Her goals are simple and realistic.  She would like to skate clean programs at competitions, pass her senior moves this year and continue to improve.  She dreams of one day being able to skate at either Jr. Nationals or Sectionals and eventually become a coach to help future skaters.  She is an A/B student, skates 5-6 days a week and takes 4-5 private lessons per week.  She also goes to the gym 2 times a week to help strengthen her body and takes Jazz and Ballet to help her learn more grace and beauty. Lauren is 12 years old and has been skating for 5 years.  She is currently a Pre-juvenile level skater and is working on her Novice Moves in the Field.  She competed at the Upper Great Lakes Regionals Non-qualifying Pre-Juvenile Girls, finishing 10th of a field of 73. She also skates in a Juvenile pair team with Carson Bodnarek and they are the UGL Juvenile pair champions and are preparing for Junior Nationals at the end of November. She is a very dedicated young athlete and loves this sport tremendously.  She wakes at 4:00am every weekday to practice before school and trains 6 days a week.  Lauren is in the 6th grade and is a straight A student.  She is consistently landing all of her doubles jumps and double combinations and has the goal to have her double Axel this year.  She trains in Cedar Rapids Iowa, and is very fortunate to have a wonder new facility to train in - the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.  She is coached by former national champion and international competitor Tanya Street-Burgess (Primary), Tamera Preston (MIF), Amy Blades (Choreography) and Carlos Vic Walker (Spins & off ice strength).  She is under instruction of this talented professional team daily.  Lauren is looking for financial assistance to help her continue her rigorous training and to help her realize her dreams of being a national competitor in the future.

Fourteen year old Alyssa Hancock is an Intermediate level skater.  Her goals for the season are to get her double axel and triple salchow, pass her Intermediate MIF and freeskate  tests, have clean practice programs, and overcome competition fears. This past season she placed third in the freeskate at the Heart of America competition and she placed second and first at two events in the Annual Galleria competition.  Alyssa trains 20 hours on ice and 3 hours off ice every week, coached by Sara Burnside-Loeb.  Any money received from sponsors will be used for whatever is most pressing at the time.  Anything she needs currently is always posted on her web site, along with the prices.  New boots were donated but she is still in need of many other things.

Twelve-year old, Caitlyn Hatch, is an Intermediate skater.  Known for her artistry
, she has been a featured skater in "Festival On Ice" ice show, a featured dancer in "The Nutcracker" ballet,  and has been nominated for overall artistic skating awards at  four USFSA competitions.  Caitlyn was also  interviewed, with her sister, Brianna, for the CBS Early show which aired January 18, 2003.  She was also shown spinning alone in New York's Central Park during CBS weather segments.  Most recently, Caitlyn was asked to skate in an exhibition performance at the International PSA Conference Ice Show, in Stamford, CT.  Because she and her older sister, Brianna, both train and compete, training expenses can be overwhelming.  Any assistance would help bring continued skating success within her reach throughout the years.

Rebecca is 12 years old and has been skating since she was 4 ½.  She represents the IceWorks Skating Club and competes at the Intermediate level in singles and this season, she is also taking pairs lessons from Philip Dulebohn.   In addition, she recently passed her junior moves and pre-gold dance tests.  Even though Rebecca lives in Pittsburgh, her main training facility is located in Aston, PA.  Unfortunately, this means she has a 5 hour commute each way.  She is looking for support to help cover both her travel expenses and her training with coaches Elizabeth Hollett-Shackett, Liz Manley, Oleg Fediukov, Philip Dulebohn, and Marcia Walkney.

Fourteen  year old Danielle is currently skating at the Intermediate level.  She began skating at the age of 5, started synchronized skating at 9 years old,  and began singles skating at 11 years old. Within the past three years, she has gotten all her doubles and she is currently working on her double axel and her triples. Danielle trains two hours a day with coaches Eddie and Kelly Shipstad.  She then spends another three hours doing off ice work.

India is a nine year old  skater who dreams of becoming the first African American Female Olympic Gold Medalist in womens figure skating.  She has been skating since the age of 2 1/2 years and she has already passed her Preliminary freeskating, Pre-juvenile moves, and  Pre-Bronze dance tests. She is currently working on her first two double jumps and hopes to compete in her first Regional competition next year as a non-qualifying skater.  She is currently the local Tristate silver medialist for the Pre-Preliminary FS level.   She also competes in ISI Team Competition as a member of the JAM'in Ladies  team from the Farmington Hills Figure Skating Club.   Her team just won first place at the ISIA World Championships in Minnesota.  India is coached by Michelle Sibley.  She is seeking assistance to help cover her skating related expenses.
