  • P.O. Box 6881
  • Providence, RI  02940
Emily Schrader is a 13-year-old skating at the Junior level from Nampa, Idaho (near Boise), who began skating shortly before her 9th birthday, after a few years in competitive gymnastics. She's been both an alternate and a competitor at Junior Nationals, and last year as a Novice won the Pacific Coast division in the USFSA's Future Champions Series. She's also been selected to compete at the Gletscher Cup in Switzerland as part of the USFSA's Young International program. These accomplishments are particularly noteworthy as Emily has now had a total of approximately three years of coaching, and very little competition experience--she has yet to participate in even 25 events, although she has won many medals. In early 2004 she passed her Senior Moves at age 12 and is excited about becoming a "gold medalist." Emily pushes herself in every arena; although only 13, she is currently getting straight A's in freshman-level classes at a rigorous college prep high school. She trains between 20-25 hours a week at the World Arena in Colorado Springs and is coached by National & World coach Diana Ronayne and Olympic coach Kathy Casey. Her programs are choreographed by Tom Dickson. Her family's expenses are extraordinarily high as her training also includes ballet, modern dance, Pilates and conditioning. Any financial support is greatly appreciated by both Emily and her entire family.
